You may have found your business listed here without creating the page yourself. Or you saw a rating and wondered where it came from. Those are fair questions.
A lot of directories make it hard to tell who runs them, where their information comes from, or how to fix something that's wrong. We don't want to operate that way.
This page answers four things plainly: who runs Miami Goes Local, where our listing data comes from, how we make money, and how to reach a real person.
By the end, you'll know what a listing here does and does not mean. If it's your business, you can claim it or correct the details yourself.

Miami Goes Local is owned and operated by Mianro Systems. We are responsible for the directory, the listings on it, and what happens when a business owner contacts us about their page.
We run the site independently. There is no anonymous directory operator hiding behind the listings.
Where our listing data comes from
Most listings start from public information
Most listings begin with publicly available business information, such as a business name, category, address, phone number, website, and other details available online. In many cases, the business owner has not seen or confirmed the page.
An Unclaimed listing is not an endorsement, review, or verification by Miami Goes Local. It is a starting point that allows the business to appear in local searches until an owner takes control of it.
What "Unclaimed" means
If a listing says Unclaimed, there is no verified owner managing it. Details such as hours or contact information may be incomplete or outdated. If it is your business, you can claim the listing for free and correct it. If you'd rather it wasn't listed at all, claiming it is also how you ask us to take it down — see "Fixing, updating, or removing a listing" below.
What changes after a business is claimed
Once ownership is confirmed, the listing receives a Verified badge and the owner can manage details such as hours, photos, services, and business information. That is how the directory becomes more accurate: business owners take control of their own information instead of us pretending we know more about their business than they do.

What "Verified" actually means here
What we check
We confirmed the person claiming the listing is connected to that business and approved their claim. There's a real person behind the page who can maintain its information. It does not mean we've independently inspected the business or approved its work.
What we don't check
Verified is not a quality rating, recommendation, license verification, or guarantee of service. If you're hiring a contractor or another licensed professional, check their license directly with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR). Our Verified badge is not a substitute for that check.
How Miami Goes Local works
Free means free
A standard listing costs $0. There is no card required and no trial that expires. Once claimed, owners can edit their listing, add photos and hours, receive enquiries, collect and respond to reviews, and show real Google ratings and review snippets. Ownership confirmation — not payment — is what earns a Verified badge.
What we charge for
We charge for optional Featured placement: $29/month or $199/year. Featured businesses can appear in homepage and category featured spots, rank above free listings in search, add a larger photo gallery, post promotions and events, display a logo, and request custom page changes. Featured businesses rotate through paid positions rather than one business permanently buying the top spot.
What payment doesn't change
Paying does not buy verification or improve a business's Google rating. It buys additional visibility and extra listing features. Featured listings are marked with a Featured badge so readers can see when placement is paid.
What we haven't verified yet
- Unclaimed listings are still unconfirmed. Hours, contact details, categories, or addresses may be outdated, and some businesses may have moved or closed.
- Category placement is also imperfect in some cases. We correct those records when an owner claims the listing or when someone reports an error.
- Coverage is not equal across every Miami neighbourhood or business category yet. We are continuing to expand and clean the directory.
- If something is wrong, claim the listing and update it — that's the fastest way to get it fixed.
Fixing, updating, or removing a listing
If it's your business
Claim your listing for free and update your hours, photos, services, description, and contact details yourself.
If something is wrong and it isn't your business
Let the business know they can claim their free listing to fix it — that puts the correction directly in the hands of the people who actually know the right details.
If you want it removed
If you own the business and don't want it listed, start the claim process — when we call to verify you, just let us know you'd like it taken down instead. No sales pitch, no obligation to keep it up.
How fast we respond
We aim to review correction and removal requests within five business days.
